The Cross Keys is not just somewhere to eat. It is a proper Shropshire country pub: welcoming, comfortable and easy to settle into, whether you are joining us for dinner or simply calling in for a drink at the bar.

Locals, visitors, walkers, families and regulars all use the pub in different ways. Some come for a pint, some for Sunday lunch, some for an evening meal, and some just because they like the feel of the place. However you use The Cross Keys, the welcome is the same.

Well-kept ales and proper pub drinks.

Behind the bar, you’ll find a carefully chosen selection of drinks, including cask ales from Wye Valley Brewery and Ludlow Brewery. The aim is simple: good drinks, served properly, with enough choice for every kind of visit.

Local and regional producers are an important part of what we offer, giving the bar a drinks list that feels rooted in the area while still offering plenty of variety.

Wine, spirits and something a little different.

Our wines are supplied by Tanners in Welshpool, with a selection designed to work just as well for a casual glass at the bar as it does for a longer meal around the table.

You’ll also find gins from Henstone Distillery, alongside a considered selection of spirits and alcohol-free drinks. Whether you’re after a pint, a bottle of wine, a gin or something different, we’ll help you find the right drink for the moment.

A pub to settle into.

A good pub should feel easy. You should be able to call in without a plan, meet friends for a drink, stay for something to eat or spend a slow afternoon at the bar.

That is what The Cross Keys is built around: good drinks, proper hospitality and a relaxed country pub atmosphere that makes people want to stay a little longer.
